Firelands Contest: Win a Lil Ragnaros for WoW Patch 4.2

Lil Ragnaros Contest - Firelands WoW Patch 4.2In honor of World of Warcraft‘s Patch 4.2 being released on live realms this week, I thought it would be appropriate to give away my favorite non-combat pet in the game, Lil Ragnaros, to one lucky reader.

He’s tiny, he’s on fire, and you can cook on his head!

Don’t be that guy who goes into Firelands to kill the head honcho, Ragnaros the Firelord, without bringing along a mini-firelord of our very own.

I’m not saying that having Lil Rag around will make the other boss fights easier, but would you perform at your best if your boss went all miniature and started watching you do your job?  I didn’t think so.

How do you enter?

It’s easy!

All you have to do to enter is leave a comment on this post stating what you’re looking forward to more than anything in Patch 4.2.

That’s it!  Just comment no later than 8am July 5, 2011.  The winner will be determined at random by the good folks at random.org, and I will contact the lucky soul by email on July 5th.  I also have to put in that this contest is also only available to those playing World of Warcraft on North American servers, as that is a limitation of the Blizzard Store’s gift system.

Good luck in Firelands, my friends, and in the words of the Firelord himself, “BY FIRE BE PURGED!”

  1. Ooh, hard one. But for me from a Class POV, I think ‘d have to say 200% crits, which places Disc Tank Healing in a competitive position. From a Raiding POV, I think I’ll have to say unique boss mechanics. (Lord Ry for example).

    1. July 8, 2011 Hey you can talk about yulrseof all you want… as long as you finish the comment with a compliment about me haha!! And P.S. stop posting such incredible recipes on your blog. The pictures are making me drool on my keyboard!

  2. The thing I look forward to most is having the gear listed as bis on the internet IS ACTUALLY IN THE FREAKING GAME. When Wowhead doesn’t know where the gear comes from, my head explodes a little.

  3. 1) I’m glad to have a few trinkets that might surpass my 346 JC trinket (that is currently best in slot vs. all of the 359 trinks)

    2) My first “OMG I actually like this game” moment came from a Ragnaros attempt. Not a kill – an attempt. I’m looking forward to the encounter and hopefully they have made it as epic as that first time.

    3) Phoenix plumes on my T12 – am I the only mage excited about this? Likely. Regardless, I’m stoked!

  4. I’m actually really excited for the Regrowth and Molten Front. I always thought they could do more with the concept of daily quests, and hopefully this will be a step in the awesome direction.

    1. I’d like to congratulate Gumbo here on a new Lil Ragnaros pet!

Thank you all for entering, and I hope to see you all around here in the future.

  5. having just got an alt to 85 a week ago, better loot with JP’s (not a raider currently)

    1. The fire kitty staff is enough to make me want to get my Druid to 85 and have him replace my Priest.

That, and the total lack of Spirit cloth drops in the raid.

  6. Am I the only excited to go save Thrall from an elemental doom? Come on, that just sounds awesome! Even though I’m Alliance, I have to say Thrall is one of top favorite lore characters in Warcraft.

Other than that…. I’m excited for the pvp season and the return of the Ring of Valor. XD

  7. A bit belated since the patch is already here, but I WAS looking forward to the new shaman glyph that allows us to cast lightning bolt while moving. Now I own it and it does not disappoint!
